Holographic security label

A novel security concept allows fast and reliable identification of original labels and thus authentic products.

The Authenticity Control System (ACS) consists of a hologram with an electromagnetic "fingerprint", captured and identified by a small reading device.  Any single application receives its unique, protected code.

As such, it is possible (for instance, at the point of sale), to check products with regard to their authenticity and origin without having to open them or performing extensive inspections.  In addition to the visual check of the hologram, the seal is further tested for authenticity by means of the reading device.

Identification is based on the functional principle of a key and lock:   only when the label produces the proper coding, the reading device will report recognition.  In case of any counterfeiting, the device remains silent.
